I have made some stuff for the ‘Extra’ section, though. *gasp* They’re all graphic-related. There are two sets of icons, cat-themed. I shall call them….The Kitticons! Yeah, I just made that up, so please, just let it be, lol. Anyway, they’re the basic Wordpress emoticons only. There are the original Kitticons, in orange/ginger/whatever, and there are the Blue Kitticons. I might add more colours later on.

There are also the arrows, which come in different colours. They’re all double arrows, as in » . There are previews of the Kitticons and the Arrows in the ‘Extra’ section, but please, give me credit if you use them, do not redistribute them, do not edit them, etc.

Feel free to suggest any other colours you would like to see the kitties in. Oh, and there might be a new layout soon!

There are certain layouts which make me go ‘Ooh!’ because of their usage of colour. They use nice colour combinations, and everything is placed nicely in the layout. I wanted to list some of the ones that I love (layouts using colours, I mean), so here they are, by order of site name:

Visit Antidecaf
I don’t really remember where I saw this site, but I love that it has a setting sort of theme, with the sky above ground, and the underground, with the content. I love layouts with themes. The colours work well here, too.

Visit BubblesSOC
I absolutely love this layout, and would love to steal it (I joke, I joke!). I generally like cutesy layouts, even though some don’t (I doubt anyone doesn’t like this design, though). I especially like the navigation and the different link hovers.

Visit Creative Burst
The colour combination Hannah used in this layout is really nice. It feels really….clean, with the tans and blues. I love the sidebar colour too.

Visit Chiklita
Wow. I love the illustration of the owl (although she did mention that she didn’t draw it), and the freshness of the colour scheme here. The green and brown makes it really….fresh. The footer is nice too, with more brown, although it wouldn’t fit in the screenshot.

Visit Jebelle
This one has a dark background with bright colourful accents. I love the background detail, and the navigation! Oh, how I love tabbed navigation. How ironic, that she’s going to be changing her layout soon.

The first time I ever saw Cecelia’s site, I loved the layout (a different one at the time), with the outer space theme, and it inspired me to create that aquarium-themed layout. When she put up her next layout, (the one in the screenshot) I loved it too, because it’s so….spooky and mysterious, yet pretty, somehow.

Visit Appassionato
Rilla’s layout and choice of colours is just so pretty. The colours are also repeated in accents throughout the layout. I especially love the navigation and tree.

At the last minute, I realized that I forgot some, because these things just….escape me. Also, if I post screenshots of these layouts too, this post might be too long. I guess I must just link them.

• Lianko, by Vera - I love the red with the tan, and the chess pieces, although I’m not crazy about the title font.
• Ava Rae, by Amber - I like the artwork in the header, and she made pink and brown work!
• Qiann Yu, by Chien Yee - I love her current layout, with the dark background and lighter colours with it.
• Into The Rain, by Bobbi-Lee - The site is currently down, but I loved her layout before.

From: The Friday Five

1. Whats harder to live without, chocolate or alchohol?
Are you kidding? Definitely chocolate. I don’t drink alcohol, and I don’t want to, ever. Chocolate is yum.

2. Does the colour yellow remind you of anything?
Hmm….it reminds me of the sun, and summer. One time, my friend came over, and she was wearing a yellow summer dress. I don’t really wear dresses, but I do like looking at them.

3. Who most annoyed you last week?
Erm….I can’t really remember. I have a very short temper though, so I get mad pretty easily.

4. Do you have a cutesy romantic nickname for your partner (or previous partners)?
Lol, no, I don’t even have a partner. I do like nicknames though, although mine don’t seem to stick. I tell my friends to give me a nickname, and it might last for a week, because I remind them, or something, lol.

5. What is your favourite Stephen King movie?
Gah, I feel like I’m not answering these properly, because I can’t relate to some of them! I haven’t watched any Stephen King movies, because I’m a scaredy-cat, and scary movies give me even more paranoia. However, although I will probably be too scared to watch or read it, Cujo by Stephen King seemed ‘interesting’, I guess. It’s about a family trapped in a car with a rabid dog outside, waiting for them. Yeah, I’m scaring myself already. I have been tempted to pick it up at the library before, or book it, but it will probably give me nightmares or something.

That was the Friday Five! Maybe next week, there will be questions that I can relate to more, but oh well. By the way, thanks for all the comments on the layout! I’ll be looking at the suggestions and trying to fix things.

After being hosted by Han for a while, I moved over to Rilla’s lovely domain. I wasn’t really sure about the layout though. I really didn’t want to get rid of Knut, because, well, it’s Knut. I made another layout beside this one, but I got bored of it/didn’t really like it. I might use it in the future though. It was a darker sort of layout, with a dark grey background. After getting bored of that one, I made this one, and decided to use it instead. Maybe it was the rollover navigation or something, I don’t know. As for this layout though, I think I used too many divs I didn’t want to, but it was that box up there. I have no idea how else to get it that way, maybe that’s just me.

I’m still uploading things/tweaking/adding plugins and whatnot, so there might be errors. I shall blog for real soon, maybe. Thank you for all the comments so far, they really mean a lot. If you have any comments/criticisms/etc for the layout, feel free to let me know. Oh, and by the way, I have no idea why the sidebar is wonky in Internet Explorer, so if anyone can help with that….yeah.
